A fun day exploring Colorado

Karl had a day off yesterday, Sunday, so we went and got breakfast and then decided to go on a drive. We left Gunnison and headed towards Kebler Pass. WOW was that beautiful! We were in the Gunnison Forest area and it was so pretty seeing the pine trees and then all a sudden aspen trees! We missed the turn that would take us back to Gunnison. We just kept driving and then we came to a crossroad and we went towards Crawford and then took another back road home. We then started up a Forest Service area that leads to a lake right close to where we are staying. It was getting late so we did not go all the way to the lake. We did have cattle traffic jams lol. Coming back we followed a truck and another truck followed us down. At the gate we had to open and close (truck a head of us opened it this time) but we stopped and talked to the guy. He said it was not much further but last week they had to take a side by side to the lake but said it was passable. We will go back another day. It was also beautiful. It was a long day but so worth it. Karl has more pictures.

Irwin Lake

This was at a lake off Kebler Pass, Lake Irwin. John was carrying daddy's tripod that was just as long him but he carried it all the way out

Irwin Lake

This was also at Erwin Lake before we started down the trail. Karl got one of our camping chairs and I did go part way on the trail but had to stop. It is hard for me, I would be getting my surgery tomorrow if I still had my job. It is so hard not to be able to go on hikes with my son and husband. I know God has a plan for me and my family but it is so hard. It was nice just sitting and looking at the lake though.

This was my first of a series of "A Walk Through the Decades" of makeup looks. This is my 1920's look using all Younique Makeup. I loved this one a lot

A Walk Through The Decades - 1930's

Here is my look from last nights live, A Walk Through The Decades - 1930's. This is not my favorite, I do not like it very well. I should have just used my actual eyebrows and just did a thin line that way. I am not real happy with this one but that is ok! Join me at 6 pm mountain time on Facebook on 06/19/2026 where I will be doing the next decade, 1940's!
